SPRING SHOW TECHNICAL SCHEDULE,
MAY 9TH, WAKEFIELD COMMUNITY CENTRE

SPRINGSHOWContemporary9-12_05

Technical Rehearsal Guidelines

Technical rehearsals are an essential part of the performance process. All dancers must attend their technical rehearsal in order to perform in the show. These rehearsals allow dancers to practice on stage with lighting, spacing, and transitions in the theatre.

  • Dancers are required to attend their technical rehearsal to participate in the performance.

  • Technical rehearsals follow the same order as the show.

  • Please arrive at your arrival call time at the Wakefield Community Centre main doors.

  • Dancers will remain in the theatre during technical rehearsals to watch the other pieces in the program and to prepare backstage with their teacher.

  • Dancers may not leave until after the performance. This helps us keep track of all the dancers during a busy time.

  • The show is just under one hour and there is no intermission during the performance

Performance Drop-off & Pick-up Information

Please review the following procedures carefully to ensure a smooth and safe performance experience for all dancers:

  • Dancers should be dropped off at the Wakefield Community Centre.

  • Please ensure you come to the theatre as dressed and ready to go as possible as well as have all the items you are responsible for with you.

  • Once the performance has started, dancers cannot leave early.

  • Following the performance, dancers will be signed out by class from the stage once they have collected their belongings. This might take a bit of time. Please be patient.

  • Sign-out is is required for all dancers 8 and under. Dancers 9 and over can meet their parents in the lobby area.

  • Dancers performing in both the Taking Off and Flying (7pm) show will stay in the theatre for a potluck dinner.
