When do In Studio classes start?

Our Winter/Spring session begins the week of January 22nd, 2024 and ends May 25th.

WHERE DO CLASSES TAKE PLACE?

Classes will take place at La Fab sur Mill, 8 Mill Street and at La Grange Country Inn, 37 Rockhurst, Wakefield.

Please be sure you are registered for the class location you desire.

Please note that La Fab sur Mill has been undergoing renovations. We are excited to see the renovated spaces and the new stage! The inside is done, however, the outside is still a work in progress.

This means everyone will enter from the SIDE DOOR at La Fab.

Parking at La Fab is across the street during renovations.

What is Class Capacity?

Class capacity depends on which studio the dancer is in and the age range of the students. Capacity ranges from 12-18 students. Classes with younger children have teacher assistants when capacity is greater than 10.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. A $25 registration fee is non-refundable. If you would like to cancel your registration you will be charged a $20 drop-in fee per class for the classes taken to date and will be refunded the balance. No refunds will be offered after 4 weeks into a session.

STUDIO CLOSING/INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 1:00 p.m. regarding the status on classes for that evening or 8am for morning classes.  Please do the following:

  1. Check your e-mail and/or your phone– we will send out a studio-wide message through both email and text.
  2. Call the studio if you have questions: 819-208-2347

Please note that your families safety is of the utmost importance to us and we trust that you will make the decision that works best for your family should the school remain open.

Students can make up any missed classes due to inclement weather any time during the season as per our make-up policy.

MAKING UP MISSED CLASSES

You can make up any missed classes by taking any class offered during the week that is the same age range or lower. Please email the studio at dansechelseadance@gmail.com to arrange a time to make–up the class so we can ensure there is space for you to attend.

You will see a report in the portal under the attendance icon of all missed classes so you know the total number of classes you can make up.

I am on a waiting list- what are my chances of getting into the class?

We will make every effort to ensure everyone can dance.  Sometimes it means just juggling the spots available. We will also try to add classes at the same or similar time to ensure everyone has a spot when possible. We highly recommend putting yourself on a waiting list if the class you wish to take is full.

This is my child’s first dance class- what if they want me to stay close by?

In order to foster independence in each child and encourage the children to focus and develop relationships with the teacher and assistants, parents are not permitted into the classroom. Parents can drop their dancers off up to 15 minutes prior to class. Once signed in parents will then return at the end of the class for pick up at the side of the building. We do recommend a quick drop off as this is generally much easier for the young child. All emergency contact information is available to teachers as it is connected to our studio software. Parents will be contacted if a child requires their support.

We do, however, recognize that sometimes exceptions must be made and your child will need you to accompany them to their class or stay closer by. If this is the case, then we can make an exception and highly encourage the parent to dance with us rather than watch the class.

When is tuition due?

Full tuition is due when registering to ensure your spot in the class. Please be sure to either pay by sending an e-transfer dansechelseadance@gmail.com or by paying online through the Parent Portal. Payment plans can also be arranged.
