MOVE! Dance and Music Lab

Do you love to Move? Be part of a dance and music lab co-presented by La Fab sur Mill and Danse Chelsea Dance. No previous experience required! Just a desire to play, be in creative process, work with others, try something new, love of performing, availability for ALL the rehearsals, be on time, be positive.

Ages 8 and up (We are looking for a multigenerational cast)

MOVE! Dance and Music Lab will include a series of 4 x 3 hour rehearsals where Jocelyn Todd (dance artist) in collaboration with Bruce Crawdon (music artist) will create a 10 minute dance and music piece performed by up to 30 youth and community members in collaboration with professional artists.

Through this creative process, participants will:

Develop new artistic and technical skills in movement and performance.
Work with professional choreographers and musicians.
Gain experience in collaboration, performance and stage presentation.
Build confidence and leadership through creative expression.

The final performance will feature both youth and professional dance artists, highlighting the growth, creativity, and teamwork developed throughout the project. The performance will be free and open to the public, celebrating the region’s vibrant artistic community and encouraging families to engage with the performing arts.
